How it works

Choose your handset
from our exciting range and upon checkout, we will automatically add our Free Insurance to your chosen device.

A few days after your handset has been delivered, you will receive a Welcome Pack by email from our UK-based insurance Partners – Bastion Insurance.

Your Welcome Pack contains details of your device and the cover provided for it (Your Schedule of
Insurance) as well as contact details and also what to do in the unfortunate event of a claim.

That’s it – you’re fully insured for your device!

Your insurance policy doesn't just cover the policy holder - it also extends to cover your immediate family. This includes your mother, father, son, daughter, spouse and domestic partner as long as they reside at the same address as you

Your insurance welcome pack will be emailed to you a few days after receiving your new handset/device. If you have not received them, please check your spam or junk folders to ensure your email security filters have not placed the message in there for safety.

If they are not there, please contact us at 01865 818927 or by emailing us at customerservice@bastioninsurance.co.uk and we will re-issue them for you, possibly to a different email address if need be.

Absolutely. If you want to insure your child's phone you will have to be over 18 and do it in your name. All of our policies cover immediate family, so your child's use of the phone will be covered. Once they turn 18 themselves you can easily change the name on the policy.

Leaving your device unattended when it's away from your home.

Theft from a vehicle or premises where there is no visible sign of forced entry.

If the handset has not been blacklisted after being lost or stolen.

Any claim where you are unable to provide evidence of ownership or receipt (in your name).

No, unfortunately you need to be a UK resident in order to have your phone insured.

All of our customers need to be at least 18 years of age when they receive a policy through us.

If you're under 18 then you can still get covered if a parent takes out the policy for you in their name.

You can then change the policy to be in your name if you reach 18 while the policy is still active.

Once you've submitted your claim, Davies Group (our Claim Administrators) will aim to confirm the outcome within 48 hours.

If you make a claim, an excess fee applies which must be paid to us before your claim can be settled. This excess fee varies depending on the value of the gadget you have insured with us. The fees are set out below:

If your claim is for a gadget up to the value of £1000 the excess fee is £75 for any claim.

If your claim is for a gadget over the value of £1000 the excess fee is £125 for any claim.

Please note:

In the event of a claim, you may need to provide evidence of ownership, such as a copy of the receipt / delivery note.

There is an excess fee payable for any claim. If your mobile phone is below the value of £1000, the excess fee will be £75. If your mobile phone is over £1000, the excess fee will be £125.
